Network Engineer

Job Title: Network Engineer (SC Cleared – Contract)
Day Rate: £500 – £600 (Outside IR35)
Contract Length: 6 months initially (extensions highly likely)
Location: Primarily remote, with some travel to southern UK sites
Start Date: ASAP
Clearance: Must hold active SC clearance
Networkology is seeking three experienced SC-cleared Network Engineers to join a nationwide Data Centre (non-ACI) and SD-WAN design and deployment programme.
This role will see you embedded in a high-profile delivery team, contributing across design, implementation, and testing phases. Flexibility, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach are essential.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Creating and maintaining High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD)
- Hands-on network configuration and device deployment
- Supporting implementation and test phases
- Producing detailed documentation and reports
- Working with core technologies including:
- Cisco Nexus 9300, Cat8300, NX-OS, CAT-OS
- VLANs, VPC, BGP, OSPF, SNMP, Syslog, TACACS, Netflow
- Documentation tools such as Visio, Excel, etc.
Requirements:
- Active SC Clearance (essential)
- Demonstrable experience with large-scale DC networks and/or SD-WAN solutions
- Strong hands-on skills with Cisco technologies
- Ability to work independently and deliver under tight timelines
- Willingness to travel during the implementation phase (largely in the South)
